From elementary school classmates to colleagues

At QIOX, the team is young, the vibe is casual, and the lines of communication are short. Which means sometimes a former elementary school classmate can suddenly become your coworker.

That’s exactly what happened with Sander from our sales team and Sanne, our newest marketingteam member. Years ago, they shared the stage in their elementary school graduation musical. After that, they went their separate ways — Sander to ’s-Hertogenbosch for school, Sanne to Eindhoven. Occasionally they’d run into each other, but professionally their paths didn’t cross… until QIOX.

Sander joined QIOX a year and a half ago for his graduation project. What started as a learning experience quickly turned into a permanent role. Thanks to his drive and commercial skills, he grew into his current position as Sales Manager.

When the team was ready to grow, Sander — together with Martijn — thought of Sanne. One LinkedIn message later, they had a chat. Sanne shared that her main interests were marketing, combined with project work. At QIOX, we don’t just look at job titles — we focus on talent and creating roles that fit the person. And it was the perfect match.

A few months later, Sanne joined as a marketing and project employee. Now, two former classmates work side by side on the same brand, each in their own role, with plenty of opportunities to collaborate every day.
